At home, Maria enjoys life on her own little “mini farm”, which includes 10 dogs, 5 cats, and a very spoiled Juliana mini pig named Peppa. She recently moved closer to Frederick, MD, where she enjoys camping, beach trips, and gardening with her mom.
Maria has been surrounded by animals her whole life and brings over a decade of hands-on experience to her role as Kennel Manager. Before officially entering veterinary medicine in 2023, she spent 10 years working in her family’s dog boarding facility, where her love for animal care truly took root.
Originally from Rockville, MD, she studied Veterinary Assisting at Montgomery College, earning certifications in Dog CPR, Animal Reiki, and Fear Free handling techniques for working with nervous or reactive dogs.
Maria loves coming to work each day to care for animals and support her team. Her calming presence and training help pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable during their stay.
